We're officially engaged!

So I promised you pics.

Last month we had our engagement 'party'. We're now official and I'm no longer ringless.

The evening was more than what I expected. Much love to my girls who did a fab job on the decor and set up, my parents who brought everything together, the band, the singers. All the people who brought a dish (it was bring and share y'all!) thank you to everyone. 

It was a pre-taste of what the wedding would be like. All your family and friends together in the same place to celebrate your love. 

And yes whilst not everything went according to plan, it didn't matter at all.

It was perfect!

It's been a while...

So it's been a while since I last blogged. Life has been busy! Tomorrow marks 100 days until the BIG day! ONE HUNDRED DAYS! Can't believe it - so much to do but very excited.

First things first - I got the job! Same role I was doing before but in a new region. So I'm now in the middle of relocating down to the Midlands. God has worked everything out perfectly and I am very grateful.

Have loads of recaps to post including our Engagement from last month which was fantastic - thank you all my girls who did a stellar job in the organisation of it all.

Also a congrats to my little bro who graduated from High School last week. Was out at Deerfield Academy, MA to witness the celebration which was fab. We had fantastic weather and I met some really nice people. Have already put my kids down on their wait list for 15 years from now ;)

It's Friday (well Thursday actually)!

With it being Easter this weekend, today is the last day of the working week - yay!

Looking forward to having a bit of rest, spending time with Mr E and celebrating Easter. Today has been interesting. I was waiting to hear about the job I interviewed for last week and unfortunately I didn't get it. 

I'm disappointed but I don't want to be, or at least I'm not now. I've always had the belief that if something doesn't work out the way you want it to, it's because God has something better in store. When one door closes, another one opens - my mother always told me. This job wasn't for me. 

So that's the stance I'm taking. :)

Life before YouTube.

Technology is great. From Blackberrys to Sky+, there is a gadget or gizmo that can do almost anything.

I love YouTube you can find videos on pretty much everything.

I was searching for how to make Jollof Rice and I came across Chichi TV! Here we have presumably Chichi, showing us how she makes her Jollof Rice. Interesting!

I also watched her red stew video, also very good and next time I made stew I used her method. Mr E enjoyed!

I usually search Youtube for videos, music and tutorials - there's a wealth of knowledge on there. I've found wedding music on there, variations on the traditional first dance and then sometimes you come across some funny stuff. YouTube is also great if you miss a TV show or a clip of something - you can almost guaranteed to find it on there.
